7 Days Exchange, Return, Refund and Replacement Voucher Policy
- We will offer an instore voucher or exchange most goods if you return them within 7 days of purchase, provided:
• It is in its original packaging and condition, including all attachments, accessories and documentation;
•It is unused and undamaged.
• Customers shall be required to provide their original invoice/till or purchase slip.
• Build Africa will not replace, repair goods or issue an instore voucher for goods re-sold to another person or entity by the customer.
• In the case of a cash refund payment can take up to 14 days to process.
Un-returnable Items
Certain products are excluded from the 7 day exchange or refund policy. The goods Build Africa exclude from the 7 day return and exchange policy are:
• Goods purchased by way of special arrangement or custom order will only be replaced if defective.
• Goods which are sold on a special offer or as damaged, defective, used or repaired, where Build Africa disclosed these facts to you before you bought the goods.
• Goods that have been tampered with, used or any seal broken.
• Goods ordered specifically for the customer and it is found the customer gave or ordered the wrong product, sizes, information or details.
Warranties
• If your goods turn out to be defective within the specified warranty period after you purchase them from us, Build Africa will repair them, replace them or give you an instore voucher to the value of the item purchased.
• If you have purchased a product which is defective within its warranty period, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware of the defect and return the item or product to the store for assessment. Please take proper note of any terms or instructions that accompany your goods.
• Once a customer returns a product on the basis that it is defective, non-functional or damaged, it shall be opened, diagnosed and assessed to establish the source and cause of such damage, defect or malfunction and where the same is attributed to customer abuse, misuse, tampering with or damage the item or product shall not be replaced by way of an instore voucher or otherwise any warranties will be voided. In the event diagnosis of a damaged product reveals that the product or item was damaged due to the fault of the customer (or due to the non use of approved surge protection equipment in the case of electrical equipment), the customer shall cover the cost of any replacement spare parts and labour cost to repair the product or item.
• Build Africa will repair free of charge products diagnosed and assessed to have malfunctioned or been damaged (within the specified warranty pe-riod) without the fault of the customer and where repair replacement or adjustment is not possible, Build Africa shall give the customer an Instore voucher for a similar product.
• If the goods become defective once the specified warranty has expired, the customer will have them repaired at his or her own cost at a repairer of his or her own choice.
• In respect to bulk orders when the goods are damaged or defective and the fault is attributable to the manufacturer or is a factory fault, Build Africa shall engage the manufacturer/supplier and the customers shall receive an instore voucher to replace the product with a similar product of their choice or wait for the manufacturer to replace the defective stock within an agreed time
• The manufacturer’s warranty will only apply to defects in the process of manufacturing the goods and will not apply in the following instances:
• Damage (including appliance motherboards)
caused by lightening or power surges.
• No approved power surge equipment used on all electrical products and appliances.
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse or tampering with the goods.
• Goods used for a purpose other than the purpose for which they were manufactured.
• Goods used contrary to their instruction manuals.
• Accidental damage.
